The polar express with raising solo

On December 13, 2025, Raising Solo brought holiday magic to life with our incredible Polar Express event.. and what a day it was!

Families were greeted by local community organizations, the brave firefighters from the City of Newburgh Fire Department, and our amazing volunteers handing out golden tickets to welcome everyone aboard. From the moment families walked through the doors, the excitement and holiday spirit filled the room.

We were proud to serve over 300 individuals, providing meaningful support to families across our community. Throughout the event, we distributed bags of food, hygiene kits, clothing, coats, gloves, diapers, wipes, and brand-new wrapped toys; helping ensure families had both essential items and special surprises for the season.

Families also enjoyed a festive photo booth, took special pictures with Santa, and shared milk and cookies together. The laughter, smiles, and joyful connections were a beautiful reminder of the power of community.
