trunk or treat at mount saint mary college
On October 26th, Raising Solo had the wonderful opportunity to participate as a trunk at the Desmond Center’s Trunk or Treat event on the Mount Saint Mary College campus. This community celebration, organized in partnership with Residence Life, brought together families, students, and local residents for an evening filled with creativity, connection, and Halloween fun.
The Desmond Center and Residence Life teams did an incredible job coordinating the event, transforming the campus space into a festive trail of decorated trunks, music, and excitement. We were thrilled to be part of such a vibrant atmosphere. Throughout the night, countless residents stopped by our trunk, and we had the chance to speak with families, share resources, and create meaningful moments with both the children and their parents.
Seeing the kids’ faces light up as they collected treats, and watching parents enjoy the experience just as much—reminded us why community engagement is such an important part of our mission. Events like these allow us not only to spread joy but also to build relationships and offer support in a fun, approachable setting.
We are grateful to the Desmond Center and Residence Life for inviting us and for putting together such an amazing event. Raising Solo is always proud to be involved in activities that strengthen community bonds, and we look forward to participating again in the future!
